Hi all. I said hello a few days ago, so hi to Susan from another newcomer. The
_Catcher_-as-screening-material--I tried that with _Franny & Zooey_ with one of
my old boyfriends. He read a few pages & stuck it under his pillow...good-bye
for me. I have just a few questions about _9 Stories_ for someone who thinks
they really understand that book. I love "Just Before the War with the Eskimos"
but, like with Reservoir Dogs (the movie), why is it called that? Any ideas?
And also, I don't know if this has already been discussed to death, but do you
think Seymour loved Muriel? What about Salinger, who "loves his characters more
than God"? Did he love Muriel or even like her?
