Salinger had no brothers. An elusive article by a man whose name I have
forgotten yet again explores the possiblity that "B-fish" was inspired by
Rilke's "song of the Suicide," from _The Book of Hours_. Seems likely.
Only two people in the western hemisphere have read the article, John
Wenke and Will. I have the article (thanks, Will), but have vowed not to
read it until a bananafest has been scheduled in Austin at the end of the
summer.
