Yikes! Every publication I open tonight has a bit about JDS.
According to the New York Observer (May 12, 1997, page 6), the
upcoming issue of Esquire (June 1997) has a "cover [that] bears
an image of a J.D. Salinger look-alike standing behind an old
copy of The Catcher in the Rye, to accompany a piece in which
Ron Rosenbaum goes in search of the reclusive author."
I haven't seen the issue on the newsstands yet, but when I go out to
walk the dogs tonight, I'll check out the magazine rack a few blocks
away.
At the rate this evening is going, I'll probably run into JDS himself,
taking his dogs on a long-distance walk....
