Exit Brendan, pursued by a bear

For some reason I haven't received digest 320. But what I read from 321
it appears that Brendan is leaving us. If this is true, I just want to
wish you the best at whatever you're going to do and hope that you take
your bananas with the same relish that Pooh Bear almost inhales his
Honey. If this is untrue, I am Very An Idiot but send the same
affectionate wishes nonetheless. I am reminded of a passage from 'The
Winter's Tale', which I have not read nor seen: 'Exit, pursued by a
bear'. Maybe that means something.

P.S. Tiny Advice:

'As my father always said, "Shiny clean boots and a spanking short
haircut and you can cope with anything." He said that just before that
rather unfortunate suicide business. Hmmm.'

Things won't be the same without you. You'll be absent.
Seriously though, take care and remember that us bananafish are always
here if you need us and that you'll always have a friend somewhere in
the world who's willing to share bananas. If you can't find us Holden,
Seymour, Zooey, Fran and Teddy will be around to just be themselves.
Right where we need them. There'll also be the secret underground
fraternity of Kafkans who you can spot by their 'characteristic
movement' as we run our little fingers along our eyebrows.
'But, of course, it isn't really Good-bye, because the Forest will
always be there... and anybody who is Friendly with Bears can find it.'
