Amen to that.  Any book with a christ figure (even if it was written before 
JC in literature became vogue) loses points for cheap symbolism.  There's a 
fine line between that and "bananafish" which has more ambiguous and 
"expensive" symbolism...so to speak.  I can see your anger at the ignorance 
of others by your nine exclamation points.
