Hey guys..
I have been too busy to read most of the posts lately, but I have been
selectively reading the Neutral Milk Hotel, and yesterday, I hopped on
Napster and downloaded Aeroplane over the Sea. As you could have guessed, I
found it to be awesome because it sounded like so much music I've already
heard. So, I have resolved to go the cd store and pick up the cd tomorrow.
Anyway, the interesting thing, is that I was at a coffee shop tonight, called
The Artist's Escape, and I engaged a conversation with a girl there named
Natalie. Natalie and I were talking about bands, and I built up this story
about an awesome band I had heard about through a Salinger discussion list.
As I was mentioning the name "Neutral...," she cut me off and said "Milk
Hotel?" The following moments were filled with us practically jumping up and
down about this, and then I found out that the band is from Chapel Hill, NC.
I attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She told me all
about this band and the gigs they had played in town, and still regularly
play.
So, I found out they will be back in town sometime soon for another show.
How ironic huh? 48 hours of NMH fun.
