Concerning the new ending for the Catcher, Jim Rovira recently wrote
"I don't think Holden would have said, "Old Phoebe" ".
I got curious, and I had this hunch that Holden does say it, so I
checked it: in chapter 25 he says, "I really decided to go out West
and all. All I wanted to do first was say good-by to old Phoebe."
