Scottie,

We found Beara to be the best, most non-touristy part of Kerry (I'm also
proud to say that we never kissed that strange, probably diseased Blarney
stone!). We found a stone circle in the middle of a farmer's field and it is
one of our favorite experiences in Ireland.

Funny but true story: we were on our way to the tip of Beara, looking for a
cable car which supposedly took you to some little island and we were
stopped at a fork in the road looking at a map when an SUV pulled up and
asked if we needed help or directions...and it was the famous American actor
Brian Dennehy!!!

Later we heard he was the most famous local summer inhabitant. Cool, eh?
