Far, far, far & away the most entertaining, enriching
& compelling book I've bought in the last two years
is 'Learn Ancient Greek' by Peter Jones (Duckworth:
paperback, pp 218, price: £9.95)
Funny, reassuring, complete with genial cartoons,
it has filled my more clouded days, one word at a time,
with the Attic sun & sparkling, Aegean foam.
Against that background, you can imagine what
Robbie's explication did for me. Teino. Echo. Neos.
Ah. Lovely. Yum Yum.
Do you all a lot more good than SOME titles I could
mention.
Scottie B.
