I've been wondering about that new book and am glad you're going to post
some notes about it some time in the future. I picked up an older version
of the same thing -- I think it has essays by Updike and other writers --
at a used book sale last weekend. I'm curious what these people have to
say about Salinger.

I don't really see the point in going after Salinger personally. It just
seems to validate his decision to tell the whole world where it can get
off.
