Well, it's based upon the Michael Cunningham novel of the same name. It's
an amazing novel. He interweaves three stories -- Virginia Woolf herself
with a woman named Clarissa who lives in the East Village and a suffering
Californian housewife of about thirty years ago.

The way it all comes together is nothing short of staggering. If you've
read and loved Woolf's _Mrs. Dalloway_, you will probably love this.
Cunningham has somehow made Mrs. Dalloway come alive again.

Best,
Cecilia.
