I don't know, Kim -- I think you're being awfully hard on the film
without having seen it. A prose description of the scene is not quite
the same as the scene itself on film. And it's not inconceivable that
Leonard had a beard at the time of VW's suicide although, you're right,
it was Lytton that was famous for his beard, and Leonard didn't seem to
have one most of the time. That's not something I'd assume was
incorrect, though, without checking at least a good biography or two.

I think the mood of the description matches the mood of the suicide note
well. But I don't expect it to be written as Virginia would write it,
necessarily...this is someone else's art, not hers.
