Thanks a lot, Kim, for looking up the reference. I think I have come across
it before, but never really managed (or tried, to be honest) to locate the
article or even to do a detailed comparison of the magazine published
stories and published in/as books stories. Not just the nine, for that
matter, but even F&Z or RHTRBC and SAI.
Yes, the early Holden stories are interesting in their evolution into CITR.
I have always rued that Viola (who calls him Holdie) never made it into the
book.
