I know, I know, my high school teacher asked us to psychologically
analyse whether Holden was a Type A or B personality - we rebels refused
to comply!
(Well, it was the seventies and we felt that it was the world that had
gone mad).
Funnily enough, I wrote my dissertation on psychoanalytic research.
Salinger was my special revival point during the madness of higher
education.
