e.r. guy likes salinger

hello bananafishers,
just watching letterman for the first time in a long time and dave
was interviewing some balding guy from E.R. i think his name was
anthony edwards, don't remeber. anyway, he was talking about his kids
and said his daughter was named Esme. dave said he remebered that
from somewhere in the world of literature and the E.R. guy said it
was from salinger's For Esme with Love and Squalor in "nine short
stories". i just thought that was neat, but the title is nine
stories. it's not that short.
