Well Teddy is not a normal person and maybe he had an inability to
become emotionally attached to others. Maybe he doesn't care that he
will die. Maybe he believes that after death he will achieve something
or go to a higher place. Teddy is just a complex person who doesn't
have the same thoughts and emotions as a normal human being.
