Ok, ok, THESE are legitimate complaints :) First off, I think you're being a Tad Too Literal about the sword/gun thing. Men have names for every rigid object they hold in their hand that shoots off, and sword is just as good as any. Now about cutting Juliet's lines, well, I think you have a beef there. But honestly, I think the only reason Shakespeare didn't spend six minutes blowing the hell out of Verona in his original play was that he couldn't pull it off :) That crowd pleaser... I have to Totally disagree with your belief that the actors didn't understand their lines. I thought they pretty generally nailed it. The delivery seemed pretty natural to me. BUT, I do remember one complaint I had when I first saw the film--I felt through the first 15 minutes to half hour that I wished the filmmaker would quit showing us how cool the film is and get on with the story... Jim <<Time enough for a six minute gas-station-exploding gunfight to open the project, but not for Juliet to say a full 1/3 of her lines? Ah, well; maybe it was worth it. My most consistent complaint is that very few of the actors seemed to have taken the time to figure out what their lines meant. Oddly enough, I enjoyed the film a great deal and have showed it to two lit./comp classes. -- Matt Kozusko mkozusko@parallel.park.uga.edu>> ___________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail.
