However, when Nicholson (I think that's the doctor's name) is running down the stairs to catch up with Teddy, he is stopped in surprise on D deck by the sound of the "girl" screaming. I would be reluctant to accept that this is because there was no E deck; I always thought he stopped because he was surprised by the scream. I could, of course, be wrong.
