Actually, you could say it was Bill Shakespeare whose ending was
`different' ... in every preceeding source going back three hundred years
or so the ending had - as in the movie - Juliet waking up *before* Romeo
died. I think Shakespeare altered it to heighten the dramatic irony but a
lot of folks (and a lot of productions - it's not the first time it's been
interpreted like this) have preferred the `original' ending.
