Sure, certain children's books one outgrows. But others, say
Winnie-The-Pooh or Alice, seem to still hold fascination for those older
Peter Pans among us. >>
As I look at my bookshelf, I can't help but wonder, am I suppose to grow
out of these books? I'm a big fan of the children books, to be specific, Dr.
Suess. I guess you don't really grow out of these books, you just get a new
out look on them... when I see/read a Dr. Suess book I pay more attention to
the colors he uses in the pictures, the moral message he's trying to convey
and yes the cute pictures and funny names, but mostly I look at one of his
books as a piece of art, not just as a mere "children's book."
