Yes ... sad or happy to say I have been bitten by the writing bug (: My
novel, `Not That Long' is set in 1994 and is about a boy who lives in
Woodstock, NY and is disgusted at the way his town is being turned into a
1960's theme park. It's basically about the nature of nostalgia - he is
really revolted by his parents' rhapsodising about the 60s but it comes as
quite a shock to him when he realises that the time he is living in will
one day be the time *he* is nostalgic about. There's a lot more to it than
that obviously but not in one paragraph (: I'd gladly offer you a copy if
it hadn't missed out on publication (TWICE and both near things!) - I'll
even run you off a copy myself if you like. Otherwise (unabashed plug) I've
just had a book of short stories published, called `Crush' and you are more
than welcome to a copy of that.
It's all on the ol' web page, www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Theater/6442 if
you want to read more (including excerpts from said novel)
Thanks for your interest!
