But people tend to do so if they know even just a little bit about an author... It´s easier to NOT do so if you don´t know anything... I´ve read more than once that the soldier in "For Esmé" was JDS himself, but eventhough he was a soldier at the time, I´ve never read anybody´s definate reasons for believing that...
