Well, actually you've sort of just proved my thesis- that fiction cannot be classified because it's too subjective, non-classifiable, et cetera. So, inadvertently you sort of helped me out, I'm sorry to have to tell you. And, FYI, I didn't make up these questions- they are testing a fiction classification system designed by Annelise Mark Pejtersen. SO, go speak to her if you want to criticize. >From owner-bananafish@lists.nyu.edu Sun Nov 29 15:15:09 1998 >Received: from localhost (server@LOCALHOST [127.0.0.1]) > by acf3.nyu.edu (PMDF V5.2-29 #33919) > with SMTP id <0F3700F20HX7MM@acf3.nyu.edu>; Sun, > 29 Nov 1998 18:15:07 -0500 (EST) >Received: from geocities.com ("port 56517"@mail8.geocities.com [209.1.224.42]) > by acf3.nyu.edu (PMDF V5.2-29 #33919) > with ESMTP id <0F3700EBBHWGDD@acf3.nyu.edu> for bananafish@lists.nyu.edu; Sun, > 29 Nov 1998 18:14:40 -0500 (EST) >Received: from akira.tig.com.au (p10-max15.syd.ihug.com.au [209.77.131.74]) > by geocities.com (8.9.1/8.9.1) with ESMTP id PAA28142 for > <bananafish@lists.nyu.edu>; Sun, 29 Nov 1998 15:14:35 -0800 (PST) >Date: Mon, 30 Nov 1998 10:02:39 +1100 >From: Camille Scaysbrook <verona_beach@geocities.com> >Subject: Re: In search of User Perspectives on Catcher in the Rye >Sender: owner-bananafish@lists.nyu.edu >To: bananafish@lists.nyu.edu >Reply-to: bananafish@lists.nyu.edu >Message-id: <199811292314.PAA28142@geocities.com> >MIME-version: 1.0 >X-Mailer: Microsoft Internet Mail 4.70.1155 >Content-type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 >Content-transfer-encoding: 7bit >X-Priority: 3 >X-MSMail-priority: Normal >Precedence: bulk >X-Listprocessor-version: 7.2 -- ListProcessor by CREN > >Boy oh boy ... this is absolutely *no* slight against you, Susan, but they >sure make you do some pretty useless things.
