Well, Sally Hayes is a generally rude character. What about DB's girl
friend, the one out on a date with Commander Blop, who holds up all the
people trying to get past her and enjoys it. Reminds me of a few days ago,
it was after the Melbourne Cup, a big deal horse race over here (`you were
supposed to commit suicide or something if ol' Pencey didn't win'). Ten
people got on my train which was already packed and hot and miserable. They
were either drunk or just stupid (I suspect both). I have never observed
people with a larger compulsion to make that many people that miserable.
They laughed, they swore, they talked at the top of their voices about
vacuuous things, they swore, they generally ticked people off, they swore,
and just made everyone want to slaughter them.

Thank you for a sensible question. This list had started to get so Britney
Spears FAQ for a while there.
