Well, maybe this is what I'm complaining about. Intellectualism *is*
escapism to me. I come here to exercise my mental muscle, not to let it
atrophy. If I want brain candy, I will pop off to the Britney Spears FAQ but
the reason I joined bananafish is to have interesting intellectual
discussions about things relating to JD Salinger, however peripherally, have
the occasional metaphorical breather but ultimately to feel challenged and
stimulated. I'm not feeling too much of either of those things. The size of
Salinger's oevre is no excuse at all for that.
