Excellent school, excellent program, affiliated with NYU; splendid
location, enough brainpower to run a small house.

Just the usual; try to find out about neighborhoods before picking one
to live in.  Don't walk around midtown with a map book open.  Visit the
New School and check out the atmosphere and get the brochure stuff.
That's the best thing you can do if you're considering the school.
Also, perhaps NYU's Gallatin School for Individualized Learning, which
is a program that allows mature individuals to tailor the curriculum.
