 What disturbs me is that these critics supposedly are well-versed in the
JDS canon. They would obviously remember RHTRC takes place in the midst of
WWII (June 4, 1942); that APDFB does not; and that Seymour kills himself in
1948. In addition to the fact that there is no mention of a honeymoon in
APDFB. For a bigger 'bang' of a short story, surely an author would play
up the fact that this is their honeymoon. Nothing in the story infers this
is their honeymoon.
