Hi all;

I'm sorry to have elicited such strong reaction from my poor
interpretation of a half remembered story. I had always assumed
that the hand on the stomach was an indication of pregnancy, as
this is what a friend told me who was reading the story at the
same time.

What's interesting is, I never really liked the story, on account
of that interpretation and assuming it was truth. I'll have to go
re-read it again now that its been liberated from slimy academic
pretense.

Maybe you guys can tell me something about another least favorite
story, then: In Pretty Mouth and Green my Eyes, the guy is
sleeping
with his friends wife, right?

Thanks,
-s.
