Well. The more I return to the stories - in most cases

I have to toss my hat ringward for Holden and Laughing Man. Esme is a fine
story and I have no complaints literaried, but of late I am more than a
little charry of stories that feature Salinger's chief aberrata the
adoration of the very young girl. I am a succour for a superb ending and TLM
with the red tissue paper on lampost looking like someones poppy-petal mask,
teeth chattering, ending affords me great relief.
A fine beginning is also wonderful to behold:
"Once upon a time and a very good time it was there was a moocow coming
down along the road and this moocow that was coming down along the road met
a nicens little boy named baby tuckoo. . ."
