I'm curious to know when Lilian Ross wrote her piece.
To compare an original writer with a mumbling, pretty-boy
mummer suggests the old gal was, at this point, thinking
more with her pelvic organs than her brain.
If you want to know the truth about a man - not, perhaps,
the writer but the man - ask his children & the women
who once loved him. They're two groups who tend to
indulge & forgive even the greatest shits. If they remain
bitter for years afterwards the news is probably not good.
