‘...an acknowledgement of the human condition in us all
that makes us all flawed, complex, gorgeous creatures.
All of us ...,’ sighs Cecilia, swishing out her waist length hair
& giving Emmeline’s old harp another dirty great twang.

I’d like to conduct a poll in which respondents are required
to answer whether this statement reflects their own feelings:
    A) ‘more or less’,
    B) ‘not at all’.
(Go on, be brave, state your preference.)

My own response, I’m afraid, would be covered adequately only
    by a Y) or a Z).

Anyone who can gaze at his sleeping cat, then turn to the human
being snoring in the chair across the room – & still enjoy these
elevating thoughts is not, as they say, in full possession of the facts
    (or his own wits.).

Holden was right & Zooey was whistling in the dark.
