You said you wished that Salinger would die sooner so we could get his stories
sooner :). I'm sure you were kidding, but...

ehm....think about it :).

I'd love to write a story about this. I really had an idea for one. A critic
finally figures out the central thread binding a specific author's work
together, and finds out the author's next planned novel would undo the whole
theory.

So the critic shoots the author before s/he can complete the new novel.

And regrets doing so before getting his/her books autographed :).
