hello....

I'm back, and the honeymoon/marriage was great :). We couldn't get enough
of England. My biggest disappointment was not seeing God's Country
(Ireland) and Scottie Bowman, but our itinerary was nuts.

We spent the first three days in London, drove through Stonehenge and then
into Bath, where we spent the weekend. Then we hit Stratford (saw a play
by the RSC), then up to the Lake District, over to Yorkshire and Haworth
(home of the Brontes), then down to Oxford for the last three nights. We
wanted to hit Ireland and a touch of Scotland too, but just couldn't do it.

We couldn't even make it up to Hadrian's wall.

I had trouble using my computer (the phone jacks weren't configured for US
phone lines in most of the hotels I stayed in) and my cell phone, and my
calling card....gawd. So I had a hard time contacting the three or four
people I meant to contact. One was even in Nottingham and we missed her
even though we drove straight through.

The Lake District was remarkable. So was Oxford. A used bookstore on
every other block.

Yummy :).

Jim
