I believe that such an experiment would need to be modified.
Readers would interpret the text, and the author would read the
interpretations. The author would then discuss the degree to which the
interpretation seemed applicable to the text as he understood it before
reading the interpretation.
All interpretations would be subject to rejection on textual grounds, if
they seem unconvincingly grounded in the text.

(In any case, I wonder how convincing the results of such an experiment
would be to anyone. A scientist would reject such thing out of hand.)
