does hamilton give a year for 'total war diary'?
from the list of possible stories for jds's first
book, story's projected 'the young folks', 'the
children's echelon' is listed as one of the stories
(list dates from sometime in 1946--alexander isn't
specific).
both of the '1959' stories in your earlier post are
included on the '46 list, so those must have been
typos.
