heh...I think Byron spent enough time around Spain and Portugal, and had
a good enough ear, to know how to properly pronounce "Juan."

Now, since he's being delliberate, is he accomodating his readers or
identifying himself as one of those who would never, ever, pronounce
foreign words properly.

I think both :)
