Dear Bananafishers: I need the help of those of you who are more Salinger-savvy than I. In A Young Girl In 1941 With No Waist At All, Ray repeatedly is mistakenly called "Mr. Walters" by the elderly couple. What is he trying to say here? Who is Mr Walters? I looked in the book he mentions in the story by Douglas, but there's no Walters in there. Any well-intentioned ideas, no matter how strange or obscure, would be appreciated. Thanks. Namaste, Thor P.S.
