Hi everybody, Since I just subscribed to this list I wanted to say hi... I first learnt about Salinger in high-school, where we read Itīs A Good Day For Bananafish... I thought it was extremely strange, yet very exciting, unlike anything I had read before... Some years went on, and more or less by coincidence I decided to read The Cacher In The Rye... Then I was hooked... I went to the library and seeked out all they had (Franny and Zooey, Raise High..., and Nine Stories)... I really felt I got to know the Glass-family, and when I finally got to read Bananafish again, I just felt so sorry for Seymour - and I didnīt find the story strange this time around... Iīve tried finding his magazine-published stories, but since I live in Denmark it has been pretty hard, especially because I didnīt really have anything to go on... But since Iīve now found the "Bananafish" homepage Iīm definately going to give it another try... Looking forward to reading your comments, best wishes, Kim Abrahamsson, Denmark
