Well, that dog that was named after him was definitely pronounced Zoo - ee.
And David Bowie had a son called Zowie (yes I'm not kidding ... thanks Dad,
he must have thought (: ), pronounced to rhyme with Bowie - which is
pronounced either bow -ee or bough-ee ... so take from that what you will
(:

I always pronounced it Zoo - ee.
