I was watching an old movie on cable this week called `The Clock', starring
Judy Garland (it was good by the way - very like Salinger's early stories
in some ways)

If any of you see this at the video shop or on TV I strongly reccommend it
for it is quite scary the way the locations seem to imitate TCIR! - there
are excellent panoramas of the famous Duck Lake, not to mention the museum
- in which the characters actually go down into the Egyptian crypts, just
like Holden (I was disappointed not to see the Indians though) - all around
the time TCIR was written.
