Sorry about the awfully cliched e-mail name and the "Buddy Glass" misnomer; I just freaked when I found out just about anyone could know my name on the internet, so I just chose a pseudonym appropriate for this list. Anyhow, I would like to say hello to everyone on this list. I have been a fan of Salinger's for quite a while now (even though I am only 19), and my recent stumbling onto an early story of his in the Periodicals section of my university's library only confirmed his genius to me, and sent me on a mad, sleepless search to find all of his "missing" stories, and I would like to thank the website "Bananafish" for giving the dates those stories were published and the magazines contained therein. It took almost five dollars in change to photocopy "Hapworth 16,1924," but it was worth it! Thanks very much. Well, take it easy, all, and, maybe this discussion has taken place a thousand times before, but what does everyone think about his earlier, uncollected writings? I don't think they're all that bad. ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
