because it was the first thing I read by him and the book really
grabbed my attention, I could relate to Holden more than any of 
Salinger's other characters. I think that the Glass' are great
characters but I never felt as close to them. If there is another
character of Salinger's that would almost equal my feelings for Holden
would be Seymour. Seymour for some reason has always captured my
attention. He was always so complex and I could never quite understand
him. Maybe his tragic death is partly why I am so interested in him.
