Hello, people,

Normally I wouldn't be dragged kicking and screaming into a conversation
about God with a bunch of strangers, BUT, well, ok, reading your
postings compell me to give my view. I was a devout athiest for many
years. Not out of a disbelif in God, but out of anger towards
Christianity. I studied every religion from Agnostcism to
Zoroastrianism. They all have some huge fatal flaw that I could easily
look at and disregard the religion.

A few years ago, I found a church that I can believe in. It is an
ecclectic gathering of several religions. It is called Science of Mind,
or Religious science.
It teaches that there is only one life, one life force going through us
all. God is not some entity "out there", I am as much apart of God as
my thumb is of me.
Since I am a part of God, I have the power of God, as we all do.
Jesus never claimed his miracles, he would say "your faith has healed
you". That is true. All people need is a focal point to concentrate
their energy, their inner godliness.
This has allowed me to release a lot of anger I've had towards organzed
religions. I always thought that religions were control mechanisms for
the masses. I didn't realize that they also can be tools for people to
organize their spiritual lives.
I may be rambling at this point. If you need me to speak clearer, let
me know & I'll try to be more succinct.

Namaste,

Thor
