Dear Liz:

Very cool, I, too, am an Ayn Rand fan. I think, though, that your point
is better illustrated by Atls Shrugged, esp. the radio speech chapter.
Is that chap. 11? Fountainhead is a little too egotistical for me. Not
the characters so much as it was Rand trying to hit us over the head
with the point. She did the screenplay for the movie, too & took a very
preachy tone there, too. Pass on the movie.
Namaste,
Thor

Erin-
You make a good point. It's just that I have noticed that some people
short change themselves by saying everything that they have done great
is God's responsibility and not their own. When I read The Fountain
Head by Ayne Rand she shows that people have a tendency to underate
themselves instead of being proud of what they have done and I have
noticed that this is often the case. Obviously you are proud of things
you have done and you also believe that God is part of it and I can
respect that. I just think that pride is not a sin but a virtue.
