From what I understand, the publisher is alomost trying to publish the book without full agreement from Salinger. Since "Hapworth" has for all intents and purposes been published before then I can see why Salinger would make an effort to not have it published in book form. I don't think it's a matter of Salinger playing with the public as it is the publisher of the book doing so. Lee
