I've been trying to learn

Hello,

I've been gone a while ever since school started back up. I'll try
to jump back in when I have the time and energy. School's been a little too
taxing. I'm taking AP classes and a great contemporary literature class.
The teacher's also my English Honors teacher but I don't have English this
semester. She's an excellent teacher but when she found out I didn't like a
novel by a certain author, I guess I lost ground with her. Then when she
found out how much I liked Salinger, she, in a way, questioned that because
I didn't like the other author she liked. Why am I telling you this? I
don't know. The literature we're reading in the contemporary lit is mainly
works by female authors photocopied from the the New Yorker. Right now I
have to read A Thousand Acres by Jane Smiley for that contemporary lit
class. I've only read 50 or so pages so far but I would enjoy any comments
or help I might need later on.
               I really love school.
I just have to find a date for Homecoming. ;)
