Jason,

You must have been a better student than the undersigned.  Granted, I think
I have developed "language block" for the following reason:

When I was three and four I lived in Morocco.  I spoke English with my
parents, French with my best friend, and street Arabic with the part-time
maid.  The only problem was I didn't stay strictly  within the boundaries of
any one language at any one  time.  Scoldings, perhaps, Dr. Freud?
