Hi everybody!
=20
This is my first "contribution" to this list, I must say I enjoy reading =
you all, though when it comes to answer... I get a little lost in this =
ocean of fish. Being of Mediterranean species, I'm not used to such a =
wide space! Incidentally, is anyone out there from Italy?
=20
Here are my top ten books, following no particular criteria of =
preference:
=20
John Fante, "Ask the Dusk"=20
John Fante, "Full of Life" =20
John Fante, "Selected Letters"=20
Ch. Baudelaire, "Les Fleurs du Mal"=20
T.S. Eliot, "Collected Poems"=20
J.D. Salinger, EVERYTHING there is by him, (including his face, his =
silence, his anger towards those who have tried to stick their nose into =
his private life...)
M. Yourcenar, "L'Oevre au Noir"
Frank McCourt, "Angela's Ashes"
Marco Vichi, "L'Inquilino" (but especially a book I cannot name 'cause =
it's not printed yet)
Apuleio, "The Golden Ass"
Ovide and Kafka's Metamorphosis
Van Gogh, his "Sunflowers"
=20
Then I guess I should stop.

Btw, I found Buffalo 66 great, JOE, well... U know? De GUSTIBUS non =
disputandum! And another thing before I go, the Italian translation of =
CR is not great, that of the Nine Stories contain several mistakes, =
beside being simply crap. 'f course that's simply my point of view, the =
point of view of a translator, A GREAT translator (again tha's my =
personal opinion) ... although nobody seems to give a damn here, on the =
Mediterranean side of the world.

Bye to everybody,

Sonia.
