Are you sure? In an early September issue of the New Yorker there was a story 
which stated that the second-in-charge to the dalai lamai had died and that 
his replacement was being held by the chinese, who were putting forward their 
own candidate. also, this lamai is the one who is responsible for the 
selection of the next dalai lamai, so if this incident isn't resolved it 
could mean the end of Tibetan Buddhism.
