Scottie, i'll have you know that my accent is a pleasant combination of
blind Australian bushman and Nepalese cowherd, with a touch of Norweigian
Trappist monk thrown in for good measure. my tiny 'i's, delivered in that
melting pot of an accent are an essential component of a spiritual vow i
took while kayaking in the Sahara, delivered to me by a vision of a fat
flamingo dressed as a mime. trying to get out of his invisible box, the pink
bird encouraged me into a state of peace and goodwill with the world and
told me never to use the larger 'i', never to eat seabird and to look in the
wrong direction before crossing the road. he then asked for a pound to buy a
cup of tea and disappeared. for many years i have followed this advice and
have never used the more robust 'i' nor have i ever eaten seabird.
unfortunately, yesterday, an eighteen wheel lorry ran over my left foot.
because of this, today i hit a mime on the head with a rolled up copy of
'horse and hound'.
